Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 22

REVELATION 22

Note: This chapter closes the Book of Revelation. It is also the final Word of God. Jesus Christ has sounded forth the great message of Revelation. He has revealed the end of time, what is going to happen during the last years of human history. But we also have been given a hope that there will be no more tears, sorrow, suffering or death, but a world of righteousness, joy & life. It also contains a final challenge of a loving Savior who came into this world to die for the sins of the human race and has consistently sent His Spirit through his servants to convey His loving gospel message to them.

This is our destiny. We can live forever. If we miss eternity, we have missed everything. If we are not ready for Christ’s soon return, we will miss the greatest event in history. Jesus says “Come: Come to forgiveness. Come for mercy. Come for victory over besetting sin. Come to eternity. Come enter the kingdom prepared for you.” If you desire to live in His kingdom forever, bow before Him, surrender your life to Him, take into your hands the Holy Bible, open it with a prayer for guidance, read it and bring its teachings into your life. Ask Him to guide you and make this a reality for you.

    “Even so, Come Lord Jesus.”

  15. Use a Bible concordance to find out more about Gog and Magog. Share your information if you would like with us.
  16. When the nations are deceived, they will gather together for the war. How many of them will their be? vs. 8

  25. What is the lake of fire called? vs. 14
  26. Who was thrown into the lake of fire? vs. 15
  27. Note: This chapter is exciting for those of us who believe in Jesus today and know that we will be riding with Him to rule and reign over the earth for 1000 years (Rev.19:14; 20:6). It is sobering, however, to realize that the people who have died without Christ will be resurrected and stand before the Great White Throne of God to give an account of their deeds.(Rev.20:12). Most sobering is that the Book of Life will be opened at that time, and if their name is not in the Book of Life, they will be thrown into the lake of fire (Rev.20:15).

I believe as many commentators do that every person is recorded in the Book of Life when God gives them physical life from the womb. It is His will that none perish, but that all have eternal life (John 3:16).  The only way a name is erased from that Book is if the person rejects the Gospel that is offered him. (Psalm 69:28; Rev.3:5) I don't know how many chances a person gets in their lifetime to hear and reject, but it is clear that those who belong to Christ hear His voice and follow Him as shown to us in John chapter 10. There is a Lamb's Book of LIfe that was written before the foundation of the earth (Rev.13:8; 21:27) ... for He is all-knowing and He knows who will come to Him. Our job is to ask them to "Come".

What does Revelation 22:17 say? Who will you invite to "come" today?

What do you learn? ... and then Read 2 Corinthians 5:10. What do you learn? ...There are 5 crowns mentioned that a believer can receive; there are numerous rewards for things such as persecution, being a faithful witness, teacher, pastor, etc. We even get rewards for giving a drink of water to the least of His disciples. The test is if it is for His glory or for our own? Things done with the wrong motive will burn up; things done for Him will remain and be rewarded.

Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 18

REVELATION 18

Note: Chapter 17 & 18 go together because the subject of the destruction of Babylon the Great continues ... Although there are many ideas of who and what Babylon of the last days is ... I believe that it is a literal city that the antichrist will have for his headquarters on the Euphrates. (land of Shinar/modern day Iraq area) I get this from many different Old Testament prophetic Scriptures that would take me awhile to build upon if we were in a class together on this subject alone. For the sake of reading through chapter by chapter, I will leave you with some verses, but I don't have the ability to break it all down for you like I would in a course over time. (Zech. 5:11, Jer. 50:4-9; 51:6; 51:61-64) ... From what I have studied, I believe it is a global political-commercial system that becomes the means and basis of a new worldwide religious system by which the antichrist (beast) will be worshipped (Rev.13). If you recall, the beast brings about his own worship by his control of commerce, or buying and selling to everyone that has his mark on their forehead or right hand.

-------------------------------

  1. John saw another angel coming down from heaven. How does he describe this angel? vs. 1 - Name 2 things
  2. What did the angel cry out? vs. 2a
  3. What did he say Babylon had become? vs.2b - Name 3 things
  4. What influence from Babylon made the nations drunk? vs. 3a
  5. What had the kings of the earth committed with Babylon? vs. 3b
  6. How did the merchants of the earth become rich from Babylon? vs. 3c
  7. John heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people." ... What did he not want them to participate in and why? vs. 4
  8. Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and compare these Scriptures and the context of the meanings.
  9. How high had Babylon's sins piled up so that God was now remembering her iniquities? vs. 5
  10. What consequences was she to receive for the deeds she had done? vs. 6
  11. She glorified herself and she lived sensously. To the degree that she had done that was the degree that she would have torment and mourning. What did she say in her heart? vs. 7
  12. For this reason because she did not believe she would ever see mourning, what will come upon her in one day? vs. 8 - Name 4 things
  13. Who is her strong judge? vs. 8
  14. What will the kings of the earth (who committed acts of immorality and lived sensously with her) do when they see the smoke of her burning? vs. 9
  15. Standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, what will these kings say? vs. 10
  16. Why will the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her? vs. 11
  17. What type of cargoes were they? vs.11-13 - There are about 28 items listed if you want to list them here:
  18. What has passed away from Babylon and will not be found again? vs. 14
  19. The merchants who became rich from her will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning. (vs.15). What will they say? vs. 16
  20. What happens to Babylon in just one hour? vs. 17a
  21. What do the shipmasters, passengers, sailors, and everyone who makes a living by the sea stand at a distance and cry out? vs. 17-19
  22. Who are the ones that rejoice at her judgment? vs. 20 - Name 4 groups
  23. Why has God pronounced jugment against her? vs. 20
  24. What does John see a strong angel doing and what does he say? vs. 21
  25. What sounds will not be found in Babylon any longer? vs. 22a - Name 4
  26. There will not be any craftsmen or crafts found or the sound of a mill any longer ... the light of a lamp will shine no longer ... the voice of the bridegroom and bride will be heard no longer ... because their merchants were the great men of earth, what had happened to all the nations? vs. 23c
  27. Whose blood was Babylon guilty of? vs. 24 - Name 3 groups
  28. Today the global one-world government is not yet in existence, but the spirit and harlotry is in every nation where there is pressure to elevate self and be one's own god. Sensuality is all that is in our entertainment industry anymore. Don't you see the spirit of harlotry in every corner you turn? What does James 4:4-5 tell us? How can you respond today to God's plea to you in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 that you looked up in the lesson?

If you research commentaries, you will get different views on the mystery of Babylon, Mother of Harlots. I suggest you study the history of Babylon and see the spiritual implication most of all; the immorality spoken of in the literal text and see a system of corruption that would come from the influence of the beast to come. I have prayed for all of you and for myself that the Lord will give us understanding and wisdom and the desire to know Him and follow His ways according to His Word now and forever. Amen.

Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 16

REVELATION 16

  3. What people were effected by this plague? vs. 2
  4. Describe what the 2nd angel's bowl brought to the earth. vs. 3

  6. Describe what the 3rd angel's bowl brought to the earth. vs. 4
  7. What did John hear the angel of the waters praising God about in regard to this bowl being poured out? vs. 5
  8. Why did the angel of the waters say that these people deserved for this to happen to them? vs. 6
  9. What did John hear the altar saying? vs. 7
  10. Who are the ones beneath the altar talking? Look back at Revelation 6:9-11.
  11. Describe what the 4th angel's bowl brought to the earth. vs. 8
  12. What did the people do who received this plague rather than repent and give God glory? vs. 9
  13. Describe what the 5th angel's bowl brought to the earth. vs. 10
  14. What did they do when they were in pain and with sores; did they turn to God for help? vs. 11
  15. Describe what the 6th angel's bowl did to the Euphrates River and why. vs. 12
  16. When you look at a map of the Euphrates river, where would kings from the east be in respect to the land of Israel?

Note: The ultimate explanation is therefore relatively a simple one. By an act of God the Euphrates River is dried up. This makes easy the descent of the tremendous army of two hundred million men upon the land of Israel to participate in the final world conflict. If such an army is to be raised up, it would be natural to conclude that it would come from Asia, the great population center of the world. Although they seem to come in opposition to the Roman ruler and his power, it is clear that this invasion springs from unbelief and these armies like the others gathered “to the battle of that great day of God Almighty” forget their individual conflicts to oppose the coming of Jesus Christ in power and glory from heaven. The fact that the rise of Asia has occurred in our twentieth century with so many rapid and unexpected developments is another evidence that the world is moving toward its final climax and the end of the times of the Gentiles. In Asia, as in other parts of the world, the stage is being set for the final drama in which the kings of the east will have their important part. Taken from John F. Walvoord
  17. As the Euphrates was drying up, what did John see coming out of the mouth of the dragon (Satan), the beast (Antichrist), and the false prophet? vs. 13
  18. What are these spirits? vs. 14 .... What do they perform? vs. 14 ...
  19. Who is gathered to come together for war through these demonic spirits? vs. 14
  20. What great day in HIStory will this be? vs. 14
  21. John inserts a word of encouragement to stay awake and clothed to not have shame for He is coming like a thief. Compare the following Scriptures; write them out if you would like. Matthew 24:43; Luke 12:39; 1 Thessalonians 5:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:4; 2 Peter 3:10.
  22. Where was the place that the 3 demonic spirits gathered the kings of the earth to? vs. 16

  23. What did the loud voice that came out of the temple from the throne say when the 7th angel poured out his bowl upon the "air"? vs. 17
  24. Describe what the 7th angel's bowl brought to the earth. vs. 18 - Name 3 final things
  25. What is significant about this great earthquake? vs. 18
  26. What happened to the great city because of the earthquake? vs. 19
  27. What happened to the cities of the nations during this earthquake? vs. 19
  28. What was happening to Babylon the Great? vs. 19
  29. What happened to every island and every mountain? vs. 20
  30. How much did the hailstones weigh that fell on men? vs. 21
  31. Will this severe plague cause the men to repent and turn to God? How will they react toward God when this happens? vs. 21

Note: Again the reaction of the world is not repentance, but to curse God because of His righteous judgment. How can people prepare to survive these times? They cannot survive them. The only way to prepare is to be prepared to die for our faith and to stand before God Almighty, one by one. True Christians will be raptured out of the wrath of God. There is debate about if they will go through some of the tribulation period or not. What really matters is preparation. How many times does the Lord say to "be ready"; to "be alert"? ....You may be asking how to make ourselves ready to meet the Lord .... Nothing we can do of ourselves can make us acceptable in His presence. All we can do, all we must do, is to accept the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ our sacrifice, and by believing be declared just in God's sight. ..... Are you prepared to face death? Will you be willing to die for your faith? Those who attempt to save their life by worshipping the beast, by bowing to his image or receiving his mark will surely die and be lost for all eternity. Those who give their life refusing to bow to Satan will live again, and spend eternity with the Lord their Creator. How will you prepare and how will you share this lesson with your neighbor?

Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 15

REVELATION 15

Note: This chapter is the introduction to the final judgments to cleanse the world from evildoers so that a kingdom of righteousness can be established on the earth. The judgments themselves are described in chapter 16 in the 7 bowls poured out.
  1. John saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven. What did he see? vs.1a
  2. These are the last of the plagues. What is finished when they are finished? vs. 1b
  3. John saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire. Who was standing on the glass? vs. 2
  4. What were they holding? vs. 2
  5. What were they singing? vs. 3a
  6. What words did they say? vs. 3b
  7. As the praise continues from their mouths, what do they say all nations will do and why? vs. 4

Note: The song is one of victory like the song Moses wrote telling about Israel’s deliverance from Pharaoh’s army at the Red Sea (Pharaoh was a type or foreshadow of the Beast).

God supernaturally delivered Israel and then destroyed Pharaoh and his army in the red sea. This was a foreshadow of the destruction of the Beast and the casting of the Beast alive into the Lake of Fire (a Red Sea).

They also sing a song of eternal redemption through the blood of the Lamb. In their song they proclaim the holiness of God and sing that all nations shall come and worship before Jesus after the final judgments are poured out.
  8. After these things, John looked. What was opened in heaven? vs. 15a
  9. Who came out of the temple? vs.15b
  10. How were they clothed? vs. 15c
  11. What did 1 of the 4 living creatures give to the 7 angels? vs. 7
  12. What were they full of? vs. 7
  13. Why did the temple fill with smoke at that time? vs. 8
  14. When could someone enter the temple again? vs. 8

Note: The seven golden vials full of the wrath of God are given to the seven great angels by one of the four living Beasts that surround the throne of God. The hierarchy in heaven remains consistent. After this is done the temple is filled with smoke from the glory of God and no one is able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues are fulfilled. This is indicating that the judgment is firm and there will be no intercession before God to delay or intercede against these judgments. Since those on earth have rejected God’s mercy (Jesus) the only thing they have left to receive is God's wrath.
  15. Summarize the chapter and post a prayer if you like.

The 7 bowls will be poured forth in tomorrow's reading in Chapter 16 of Revelation ...

Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 14

REVELATION 14

Note: Revelation 14 actually contains two visions of the future. The first is a vision of salvation. The second is a vision of judgment. Look at yourself and ask, "Which vision includes me?" If the first vision includes you, then you will want to remain faithful to Christ. And, if the second vision includes you then you should want to repent and have your sins forgiven in Him.
  1. Where did John see the Lamb standing? vs. 1
  2. Who was with the Lamb? vs. 1
  3. What did they have written on their foreheads? vs. 1 - Name 2 things
  4. John heard a voice from heaven. What did it sound like to him? vs. 2 - Name 3 things
  5. Who was singing a new song before the throne and before the 4 living creatures and the elders? vs. 3
  6. Why are they singing? vs. 3
  7. Name the characteristics of the 144,000. vs. 4,5 - Name 6 things

  9. What did the angel cry out with a loud voice? vs.7
  10. What hour has come? vs. 7

Note: No matter how successful the Antichrist is at trying to wipe out Christianity, he won't be able to stop God from sending His word one last time to warn the people of the error of their ways and to warn them of the consequences of doing what the beast is ordering them to do.

The Lord doesn't want anyone to have an excuse that they didn't know the truth and consequences of rebellion when they stand at the Great White Throne for final judgment.

Even if every last Bible is wiped out by the Antichrist, God will still send angels to proclaim truth to the world and warn. God is merciful that even as His wrath is being poured out, He is faithful to warn the lost and to try and bring them back to Him.
  11. John saw another angel (2nd one). What was this angel saying? vs. 8
  12. John saw another angel (3rd one), following them. What did this angel say with a loud voice? vs. 9 - 11
  13. What is the perseverance of the saints? vs. 12 - Name 2 things
  14. John heard a voice again from heaven, saying to "Write - 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!' What did the Spirit of God say after that? vs.13
  15. When John looked, what did he see sitting on a white cloud? Give the full description. vs.14
  16. John saw another angel coming out of the temple crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud. What did the angel tell Him? vs. 15
  17. What happened when He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth? vs. 16
  18. Another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven. What did he have? vs. 17
  19. Then the angel who has power over fire came out from the altar and called with a loud voice to the one with the sharp sickle. What did he tell him? vs. 18
  20. What did the angel do after he gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth? vs.19
  21. When the wine press was trodden outside the city, how deep did the blood go? vs. 20
  22. How far did the blood go? vs. 20

Note: The Battle of Armageddon is a time when the Lord comes to take action against all the armies that have gathered against Israel. There will be a massive amount of bloodshed and the destruction will be massive.

Look up the following passages and comment on what you learn:

    Isaiah 63:1-6

    Joel 3:12-16

Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 13

REVELATION 13

In chapter 12, we were introduced to the dragon of Revelation. Who did John clearly indicate the dragon to be? Revelation 12:9 - Write it out: Revelation 13 ...
  1. The dragon (Satan) stood on the sand of the seashore. (vs.1) What did John see coming up out of the sea? vs.1a
  2. Describe the beast that John saw coming out of the sea. vs. 1 - Name 4 things
  3. What animal did John compare the beast to? vs. 2a
  4. What did John saw his feet were like? vs. 2b
  5. What did he say his mouth was like? vs. 2c
  6. What did the dragon (Satan) give to the beast? vs. 2d - Name 3 things
  7. As we looked at in yesterday's lesson, we need Daniel's OT prophecy coupled with Revelation to get the best understanding of the heads of the beast and the horns on them. In Daniel and in Revelation, we will see a Beast with seven heads and ten horns that will deceive the whole world. The seven heads represent world kingdoms with kings under the control of Satan and the ten horns represent ten end time world leaders that the dragon (Satan) will control for a specified time and purpose of God.

Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
  8. What did John see in regard to one of the heads (or kingdoms)? vs.3 - Name 5 things
  9. Why did the whole earth worship the dragon (Satan)? vs. 4
  10. Why did they worship the beast? vs. 4
  11. What was given to the beast for 42 months? vs. 5 - Name 3 things
  12. When the beast opened his mouth, it was in blasphemies against God and who else? vs. 6
  13. Who will the beast make war with and how will it turn out? vs. 7a
  14. What kind of power will he have over the earth? vs. 7b - Name 4 things
  15. Who will worship the beast? vs. 8a
  16. Who will NOT worship the beast? vs. 8b
  17. Has your name been written in the Lamb's book of life? How do you know?
  18. If anyone has an ear, John says "let him hear". What are the various things that the saints will be destined for during this time? vs. 10 - Name 2 things
  19. What does John call this? vs. 10b
  20. John saw another beast coming up - this time out of the earth rather than the sea - What does he say this beast was like and how did he speak? vs. 11
  21. John tell us about this 2nd beast (which will be referred to as the false prophet of the antichrist). He will excercise all the authority of the first beast (the antichrist) in his presence.  What does he make the earth dwellers do? vs. 12
  22. What is significant about the first beast? vs.12b
  23. What does the 2nd beast (false prophet) perform? vs.13a
  24. What is a significant miracle he will perform during this time? vs.13b
  25. Because of the signs that the false prophet (2nd beast) performs in the presence of the first beast (antichrist), what does it cause the people on earth to do? vs.14
  26. The people will be forced to make an image of the first beast. What will the 2nd beast (false prophet) do to the image to cause people to worship the image? vs. 15
  27. What happens to anyone who refuses to worship the image? vs. 15
  28. What does the false prophet (2nd beast) cause all the people on earth to receive on their right hand or on their forehead? vs. 16
  29. Can anyone buy or sell without the mark of the beast (antichrist)? vs. 17
  30. What is the mark of the beast? vs. 17 - Name 2 things
  31. When the number is calculated that is given out, what will it be? vs. 18
  32. Those whose name are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will not take the mark of the beast, even though they will give up their life in exchange to enter eternal life.

I like to think of our website, my journals, my marked up Bibles, and other things as things the seekers can find during the days of tribulation to lead them to the decision to follow Christ to the death.

Revelation 12:11 - They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even unto death. Amen.
  33. Summarize this chapter and post a prayer if you would like.

Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 12

REVELATION 12

In Chapter 11, we saw the 7th trumpet sound, but the effects of the sounding of the 7th trumpet (3rd woe) will not be clearly defined for us until Chapter 15-18. There has been an insert of visions given to John to explain the attack of satan on the promise of the Messiah to Israel and to the world from the beginning of time until the events unfolding in the very last days of time.

Note: It takes time to weave together various parts of Scriptures to get the clear picture, but for the sake of our daily reading, I will do my best to fill in some of this information little by little. I am praying the Lord helps me to say it and helps you to understand what I am trying to say. Thank you for your prayers regarding this....

  1. A great sign appeared in heaven. It was a woman. What was she clothed with? vs. 1a
  2. What was under the woman's feet? vs. 1b
  3. What was on the woman's head? vs. 1c
  4. How does Joseph's dream in Genesis 37:9 help you understand who the woman is that is being described?
  5. What was notable about the woman? vs.2
  6. Another sign appeared in heaven. It was a red dragon. How many heads did the dragon have? vs. 3a
  7. How many horns did the dragon have? 3b
  8. What were on the heads of the dragon? 3c

Note: In the book of Daniel and later in this book we will see a Beast with seven heads and ten horns that will deceive the whole world. The seven heads represent world kingdoms with kings under the control of Satan and the ten horns represent ten end time world leaders that Satan will control in the last Gentile world empire called “Babylon the Great”

This is further defined by Daniel and in chapter 17 and 18 of Revelation.
    • Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
    • Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
    • Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

  9. What did the dragon do with his tail? 4a

Note: Stars sometimes are used as symbols for angels in Scripture. Remember how Jesus holds the 7 stars in His hand and we are told that the 7 stars represented the 7 angels? (Rev.1:20) ... This verse is talking about the fall of Satan and his angels.

Satan is referred to as the "star" of the morning in the description of his fall in Isaiah 14:12-14. Satan apparently led a third of the angels in heaven in a rebellion against God, which is how we have demonic spirits today.
  10. Where did the dragon throw the third of the stars that he swept with his tail? vs.4
  11. John sees the dragon (Satan) standing before the woman (we have established as the nation of Israel) who was about to give birth. What did the dragon desire to do to the child when he was born? vs. 4

Note: Satan used Herod to try to kill Jesus the moment He was born. (Matthew 2:12-20). The Lord warned Joseph to take Mary and the child Jesus to Egypt until Herod died and was no longer a threat to them.
  12. John describes to us that the woman gave birth to a son who was a male child. What are we told about this child's future? vs.12
  13. Before this child is a world ruler one day, what happens to the child first? vs. 12
  14. When was Jesus caught up to God and to His throne? Read Acts 1:9-11
  15. Returning to the future of the woman (Israel), she will flee from the dragon again in the future. How will God take care of the nation during that period of 1260 days?
  16. Where have we seen this same reference to days in our reading? Comment from Rev.11:3

    Back to Chapter 12 ...
  17. Who waged war with the dragon and his angels in the heavenlies? vs. 7
  18. What happened to the dragon and his angels at that time? vs. 8
  19. The great dragon was thrown down at that time. Who does John tell us the dragon was and what the dragon does? vs. 9 - Name 6 things
  20. What did John hear from a loud voice in heaven when Satan and his angels were thrown down? vs. 10 - Fill in the blanks.

"Now the ______, and the _____, and the _____ of our God and the _____ of His Christ have come, for the _____ of our brethren has been thrown down, he who _____ them before our God _____ and _____."

Note: What rejoicing does this give you that our accuser will be thrown down from his access to God's throne to accuse us of our sins on a daily basis? For now, we have an advocate, a lawyer, who defends us and presents us to God because we have believed upon His Name - our Jesus - our High Priest. One day, we will reign with Him as priests and there will no longer be a need for an advocate because our accuser will be gone. Hallelujah !!
  21. How do the saints overcome Satan, their accuser? vs.11 - Name 3 things
  22. What will heaven and those dwelling there be doing when the accuser is thrown down? vs. 12
  23. What warning is given to the earth and sea and those who dwell there? vs. 12
  24. This is the third "Woe" and from the 7th trumpet will come the final 7 bowls of God's wrath. What will the devil send forth because he knows his time is short? vs. 12

Note: He (the devil) is tossed out once and for all time. His day is over. The last half of the Tribulation will be a time of terrible trouble on earth (Jer. 30:7; Dan 9:27; 12:1; Zeph. 1:15; Matt 24:15-22). It will be Satan's final attempt to prevent the return and the reign of Christ. He has only a short time to try to prevent the establishment of Christ's kingdom so his wrath intensifies of his persecution of Israel, God's chosen nation.
  25. Who did the dragon persecute when he was thrown to the earth? vs. 13
  26. What was given to the woman so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place to be nourished during this time? vs. 14
  27. How long would she be protected and nourished from the presence of the serpent (Satan)? vs. 14

Note: The phrase time and times and half a time is also found in Daniel.
  28. Comment on these verses:

    1) Daniel 7:25

    2) Daniel 12:7

Note: According to the 70th week of Daniel, it is calculated to be 1 year (time).. 2 years (times) and 1/2 a year (half time) ... or 3-1/2 years, which is the middle of the 7 year peace treaty that is going to be given to Israel by the Antichrist who will break the peace in the middle of the 7 years, which is 3-1/2 years - also stated as 42 months and 1260 days.... The comforting part is that God will protect the remnant of Israel during this time of great wrath from the devil upon them.
  29. How will the serpent (Satan) try to destroy the woman (Israel) as she flees into the wilderness? vs. 15
  30. How will the earth help the woman (Israel) at that time? vs. 16
  31. When this happens, the dragon will be even more enraged with the woman. Who does he go off to make war with? vs. 17
  32. Although the chapters are difficult to understand, we were told in chapter 1 that we are "blessed to read, hear, and heed" the words of this book. Thank you for taking time to read and think through these lessons. How has this lesson helped you understand God's enemy and how determined he is to stop God's plan of redemption? As we know, the victory belongs to Jesus and His followers. How have you seen spiritual warfare in a more serious light and what encouragement do you have to be an overcomer by faith in God and in His Word?
  33. Summarize this chapter and post a prayer if you would like.
