13.  What did these words cause the sons of Israel to do and what did they name the place because of that? 2:5

14.  Judges 2:6-23 explain that as long as Joshua was alive, the people served the Lord .. and as long as the elders who survived Joshua who had seen the great works of the Lord in the wilderness journeys remained among them, they served the Lord.  Finally, that generation died out and there was another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work the Lord had done for Israel.  Without this leadership, who did the sons of Israel serve instead of the Lord of Joshua and the elders? 2:11-13

18.  When the judge would die, what would the people do again and again? What did they not abandon? 2:19 -

19.  The Lord allowed the nations around Israel to remain that Joshua had left when he died because the sons of Israel would not return to Him and follow after Him.  How would this 'test' the sons of Israel to have the enemies still oppressing them? 2:22 -

20.  Peek into tomorrow's reading just to see God's purpose in allowing the nations to remain for this new generation following Joshua's death.  Judges 3:1-2

The purpose of the Apply 1 mini lesson is .....

to help you focus on at least "one" thing that you can apply to your life from the chapters read today.

It would be great to take the time to look up the verses and answers the short survey each day.  I think this will be a great guide to helping you journal your thoughts.  Usually once you begin to open up on a subject, more things come to your mind to say or pray about.

Love you, Brenda
