    One of the Pharisees named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in the council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time. He told them men to "take care" of what they proposed to do to these men.
    
    
    He reminded them how a man named Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and had a group of 400 men join him. He was killed and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.
