God actually joined in this battle visibly, by pelting the enemy with hailstones. He had done this forty years earlier in Egypt (Exodus 9), and will do it again during the Great Tribulation (Rev. 8, 11, 16)
What was Joshua's prayer to the Lord concerning his need for more daylight and ability to get the battles fought that day? vs. 12,13
What was unique about that day? vs. 14

(vs.40) Joshua struck them from Kadesh-barnea even as far as Gaza, and all the country of Goshen even as far as Gibeon. (vs.41) How was Joshua able to capture all these kings and their lands at one time? vs. 42
- Where did Joshua and all Israel return to after all these victories? vs. 43
Application:
The five kings and all of their men would have seemed too much for any warrior and his men to conquer, but God with one is the majority! God fought for Joshua with hailstones from heaven and even listened to his prayer to keep the sun still to make a longer day to get the battle won.
Are we taught that God still fights battles from the heavenlies for us through prayer and faith? Comment on the verses below:

1 John 4:4
1 John 5:4
What battle do you need Your Jehovah Nissi to help you fight today? Offer up a prayer about it here.
How will the sun and moon be effected on earth again in the future? Comment on the verses below:
Matthew 24:29
Revelation 6:12
Revelation 8:12
Why do true believers in Jesus Christ not have to fear these things coming upon the earth?
Colossians 1:16,17
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Note: Christians will be saved from the wrath to come. We need to be sharing with others like Noah did when the flood was coming and Lot did when he warned his family and son-in-laws of the coming doom on Sodom & Gomorrah and as Rahab did to get her relatives into her house before Jericho was destroyed.
Who are we warning of the wrath to come? Why aren't we "strong and courageous" to fight the spiritual enemies and take his spoil for the Lord's kingdom? Let us pray more! Let us share more!
Summarize this lesson and post a prayer if you would like.
