Joshua Worksheet - Chapter 6

JOSHUA 6

Review: In Chapter 5, the men that had been born during the 40 years of wilderness traveling had to be circumcised to confirm the covenant with the Lord that had been established with Abraham in Genesis 17. They did not circumcise during the wilderness days and they had not celebrated the Passover in 38 years.

They celebrated now in Gilgal, the place they had camped after crossing over the Jordan River. After the men had healed, the Lord appeared to Joshua as the "Captain of the Hosts". He is in fact, Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts. Amen !

In Chapter 6, it is time to possess the city of Jericho. It is an unusual way to fight a battle, but a significant one for us as believers - tearing down the walls through praise!! Amen.
