Application
18. God called Bezalel by "name" and He "filled him with His Spirit". He gave him the gifts of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of craftmanship. The purpose was to build the tabernacle, His physical place of dwelling with the people of Israel. Today, we are a spiritual house, being built up as the body of Christ, and we all play a role in this with our spiritual gifts. Look up these verses to see that you have been called "by name"... you have been "filled with the Spirit of God" ... and you have been "gifted" to build up the body of Christ with at least one spiritual gift. After looking up the verses, comment in your summary about how you believe God has gifted you for the building up of the body of Christ, God's household. Amen.
- Called by "Name" - John 10:3-4 ... 9-11 ... 14-16 ... 27-30 ...
- Filled with "His Spirit" - 1 Corinthians 12:13 -
- Gifted to Serve (Build Up) - Body of Christ, His Household - 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 ; Romans 12:4-13 ; Ephesians 4:7-13
19. Summarize the chapter and post a prayer if you would like.
Exodus 31 is about God giving Moses his final instuctions before Moses goes down off the mountain to face the Isralites. God tells Moses He has called Bezaleel by name to make all things pertaining to the tabernacle. He is the son of Uri who is the son of Hur and is from the tribe of Judah. God filled him with the Spirit of God , wisdom , understanding and knowledge in all manners of workmanship. He had the ability to work in gold , silver, brass, cutting stones, setting stones, carving timber and in all manner of workmanship.
ReplyDeleteGod appointed Aholiab with him and he was the son of Ahisamach and he was from the tribe of Dan. God gave him wisdom and knew he was able to build all the things for the tabernacle. God tells us in his word that all good and perfect gifts comes from God anyway. God reminds Moses to speak to the children of Israel and remind them to keep the sabbath or they will be put to death. God knew the people would need a day of rest like he did so he enforced keeping the sabbath. After God had told Moses what he wanted he gave him two tables of testimony , tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
