Application:
37.  Aaron was the High Priest at that time.  Jesus is our High Priest today.  He has passed into the heavens and is sitting at the right hand of the Father.  Like the earthly picture of the true heavenly situation, Jesus bears our burdens on His shoulders and has our names upon His heart.  We are a holy priesthood for Jesus and we bear the burdens of others as well upon our shoulders and upon our hearts like the onyx stones and the 12 stones of the breastpiece.  Who is written on your heart this day and whose burdens are you helping to carry?  I know I have my sons on my heart to represent them before the throne of God.  Here are some verses to look up that you might want to pray for those you are representing before God:
  • Romans 8:26 -
  • Ephesians 1:18 -
  • Ephesians 6:18 -
  • Colossians 1:9 -
  • 3 John 1:2 -
  • Romans 15:1 -
  • Galatians 6:2 -
38.  Summarize the chapter and post a prayer if you would like.
