Joshua - Chapters 14 - 16

From reading Joshua 14 - 16

Quick Questions:
1.  Why does it say 1/2 tribe for the tribe of Manasseh and 1/2 tribe for the tribe of Ephraim?  Who are these two?  14:4-5; also see Genesis chapter 48 and explain what you learn about them.
2.  When the sons of the tribe of Judah drew near to Joshua, what did Caleb remind him about? 14:6-12
3.  How old was Caleb at this time and what kind of shape was he in for war and caring for the land of inheritance? 14:11-12
4.  What was given to Caleb for an inheritance ? 14:13-15
5.  Read about Caleb's trust in the Lord and see what it means that he had followed the Lord fully.  Write any comments you want to remember about him.  Numbers 13:25-33; Numbers 14:5-10; Numbers 14:20-24
6.  What do we learn about faith in Hebrews 11:6 that supports why Caleb was rewarded by God?
7.  Joshua 15 gives the territory and boundaries set for the land allotted to the tribe of Judah.  Who did Caleb drive out of the territory that he was given? 15:14-15
8.  Who lived in Jerusalem that the sons of Judah were not able to drive out? 15:63
9.  Joshua 16 & 17 gives the territory and boundaries set for the two sons of Joseph - Manasseh and Ephraim - and they received their inheritance.  Who lived in Gezer that they were not able to drive out? 16:10
