3. Aaron will only enter the holy place where the ark of the covenant is located "one time" a year on the appointed day that God chose. What will he offer for himself before he can enter? vs. 3 - Name 2 offerings
4. Aaron will wear the holy linen tunic, and the linen undergarments next to his body. He will be girded with the linen sash and attired with the linen turban (holy garments), having washed his body in water.(vs. 4)...After that, what did he take from the sons of Israel and what were they for? vs.5 - Name 2 offerings.

Next, Aaron will offer the bull of the "sin" offering which is for himself and his household to make atonement for them, and then the bull of the "sin" offering which is for "himself" (vs.11). ...He would take a firepan full of coals of fire from upon the altar before the Lord and put 2 handfuls of finely ground sweet incense. Where did he take these and what was the purpose? vs. 12,13

Note: The person who "burned" these would also wash his clothes and bathe his body in water before coming back into the camp. (vs.28)...

Application:
1. Read John 19:17-30. What did Jesus say when He died on the cross? What do you think this means?
2. Read Hebrews 9:6-12. Why couldn't those yearly and daily sacrifices make the worshiper perfect in conscience? vs. 9,10 ... How long were those regulations to be in place? vs. 10 ... When did it all change? vs. 11 ... Rather than the blood of goats and bulls, what blood made the way to eternal redemption? vs. 12
3. Read Hebrews 9:19-28. It was necessary for the copy of things to be cleansed by the blood of the animals because without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. (vs.22)...What did Jesus do at the consummation of all time and ages? vs.26b ...We are appointed to die only one time, and what follows that? vs. 27 ...Although Christ came the first time to offer salvation, who is He coming for the second time? vs. 28
4. Read Hebrews 10:1-4. What was the Law only a shadow of? vs.1 ... What could the Law never be able to do? vs.1,2 ... What would the worshiper be reminded of in the yearly sacrifices made? vs. 3 ... What is impossible? vs. 4 ....
5. Read Hebrews 10:5-10. Jesus Himself was the sin offering for all time. What did His sacrifice do once for all? vs.10
6. Read Hebrews 10:11-18. Jesus perfected the sanctified believers for all time. ... When the priest stood up daily to offer sacrifices time after time, what were they never able to do? vs. 11 ... After Jesus made the one sacrifice, He was able to sit down at the right hand of God and wait for the day His enemies will be His footstool ... What did His "one" offering do for "all time" for those "sanctified"? vs. 14 ... What has God done through the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus concerning His laws? vs.15,16 ... What has He done concerning our sins? vs. 17 ... Why is there no longer any need for a sacrifice to be made? vs. 18 .....
7. Read Hebrews 13:11-15. Jesus Himself was the burnt offering for all time. Because of His suffering, we suffer with Him, but now we look to the city that will forever be ours. What are we to continually offer in praise now? vs. 15
8. Jesus is the Scapegoat - The scapegoat carried the iniquity and the transgressions of all of Israel into the wilderness, never to be seen again. Read the following verses and comment on how Jesus is the One to take away the sins of Israel.
