Application:

16.  A Nazarite was one who took a vow for a specific amount of time.  During that time of being separate for the Lord, they did not cut their hair (man or woman), they did not go near a dead person (even the closest relatives), and they did not have any part of the grape vine whether the skin, the seed, the juice, or wine.  We have an example of the apostle Paul keeping a vow like this.  Read and comment on this below:

  • Acts 18:18 -

17.  We have the example of a woman under a Nazarite vow in the Old Testament, which was Manoah's wife during her pregnancy with Samson.  Samson would be a Nazarite for life  from the womb forward.  Read and comment on this below:

  • Judges Chapter 13 -

18.  Who else was a Nazarite from the womb?  Read and comment on the verses below:

  • Luke 1:15 -

19.  How do we see a picture of Jesus through the Nazarite?

  • Hebrews 7:26 -

20.  How can we see the church and what we are called to be through the Nazarite's vows?

  • 2 Corinthians 6:17 -
  • James 1:27 -

21.  Don't you love the blessing that Aaron and his sons gave the people?  The spoken word of blessing is such a wonderful thing for us to speak upon one another.  What are some Scriptures that we can say to one another?  Find some of your favorites and post if you would like to share them with us.

22.  Summarize this lesson and post a prayer if you would like.
