9. In the life of all flesh, what is it's blood identifed with? vs. 14
Note..Blood is the source of life and health (Leviticus 17:11; 14). Up until 120 years ago, sick people were "bled" and many died as a result (e.g. George Washington). Today we know that healthy blood is necessary to bring life-giving nutrients to every cell in the body. God declared that "the life of the flesh is in the blood" long before science understood its function. Your life is in your blood. In fact, when you think about it your blood is amazing! Your blood has a unique foot print. One drop of your blood will identify you. Isn't the discovery of dna amazing and yet God knew this from the beginning; that the blood identifies us. Of course He knows; He is the master planner of the dna in each person! It may look red and ordinary. It may share many similarities with other people's blood, but make no mistake your blood remains precious. An adult human has approximately 100,000 miles of veins transporting precious blood to all the regions of the body! It carries oxygen, DNA and so on throughout your body.
10. What was a person to do if they ever ate of an animal that had died or been torn by other beasts? vs.15
11. What would they bear if they did not do this? vs. 16
Application:
12. This chapter is letting us know how precious "blood" is to God, the Creator of all living things. There should be respect about animal life and human life. Ultimately, He wanted the sons of Israel to understand that the shed blood of animals was atonement (covering) until the time when Christ would shed His blood once for all. John the Baptist introduced Jesus as the Lamb of God, whose "takes away" the sins of the world. He did that through His shed blood on calvary. Let's end this lesson thinking about the "blood of the Lamb" and about "life that is in the blood". Amen. Look up the verses and comment on them.

13. Can you imagine being a good Jew that had been taught to not ever drink blood and then to have Jesus tell you to drink His blood or you would not have eternal life. They would have to realize that it was a word picture, not a literal thing. Of course Jesus was not canibalized. Yet, if blood has the identity of who we are, and we are to drink His blood to have eternal life; He is saying "identify" with Me, consume Me, allow Me to have My life living in you. How did Paul describe this "identity" in the book of Romans?
- Romans 6:4-11
14. Summarize this lesson and post a prayer if you would like.
