the blessings ezr

Leviticus Chapter 26

1.  What were the sons of Israel not to make for themselves or set up for themselves to worship and why? vs. 1

2.  Why were the sons of Israel to keep the Lord's sabbaths and reverence His sanctuary? vs. 2

3.  If the sons of Israel would .. walk in His statutes ... keep His commandments.. so as to carry them out.... there were many assured blessings they would enjoy from the Lord.  List them below from vs.3-vs.12 - I found 23 when listing each separate thing.  (( enjoy this ))

4.  When the Lord spoke of chasing down their enemies with the sword, how many would 5 of them chase down? .... how many would 100 of them chase down? ..... See verses 7 & 8 .... When we think of our enemy, Satan, and his demonic hosts, it is a great mind picture to see that our prayers and stand on God's Word would put so many to flight.  Amen ??

Note:  Although Israel failed to obey and experience these blessings of peace and security in their land, what are the future promises concerning them? - ....

5.  When the Lord brought the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt to no longer be their slaves, what did He break and how did He make them walk? vs. 13

6.  The Lord also laid out for them what the consequences of unbelief and  rejection of His laws would be.  If their souls  "abhored" His ordiances, and broke His covenant, there would be consequences. (vs.14,15)  ... What would the first round of judgment be? vs. 16,17 -  I found 11 specifics to list from these verses.  Please list them as well.

7.  The Lord would hope that those things would bring the correction and draw them back to Him in repentance.  If they did not, however, what would the next round of punishment be like? vs. 18

8.  Name more consequences they would face for "abhoring" His statues and not obeying His commands. Vs. 19-20 .... Name 6 results which would amount to famine.

9.  If after all these things, they still act with "hostility" toward the Lord and are unwilling to obey him, how much would the plague on them be increased and what was it according to? vs. 21

10.  What would the Lord "loose" upon them that would take their children and cattle from them and make their roads lie deserted? vs. 22

11.  Would this wake them up and bring them back to Him in repentance?  If they still did not turn back to Him, but continued to act with "hostility" against Him, then His hostility would be against them as well.  How many more times would they be stricken by the Lord? vs.23,24

12.  The Lord would bring a sword against them.  What would it execute? vs. 25

13.  When they gathered together in their cities, what would He send among them? vs. 25

14.  What would be the result of the sword and the pestilence? vs. 25

15.  He would break their staff of bread.  Ten women would bake in one oven and bring them their bread in "rationed amounts".  Would it be able to satisfy their hunger? vs. 26

16.  If, in spite of all this, they did not obey Him, but they acted with "hostility" toward Him, then He would act with wrathful hostility toward them. (vs.27) How many times would they be punished for their sins? vs. 28

17.  What would be the awful consequence of the severe famine they would suffer? vs. 29

18.  Name 9 results that will also happen because they refuse to repent and return to the Lord from vs.30-32.  I found 9 things.

19.  What would happen to the nation of Israel; to the Jews? ... to their land and cities? ... vs. 33

20.  What was God's purpose in all of this?  What would the land finally enjoy while they were no longer there ignoring the commands of the Lord? vs. 34,35

21.  What will happen to the remnant of those who have been scattered to other nations?  List the physcological results as well as the realities they would face in the land of their enemies.  Make a list of 7 things from vs. 36-39

22.  If the sons of Israel CONFESSED their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers; that they had been unfaithful to the Lord and acted hostile toward Him ... He would admit that He had done the same with them to bring them into the land of their enemies. (vs.40,41) ... If their uncircumcised hearts became HUMBLED and they made amends for their iniquity, what would the Lord remember? ... What 3 covenants would He remember? ... vs. 42

23.  Other than the 3 covenants; what else would the Lord remember when they CONFESSED and HUMBLED themselves before Him? vs. 42

24.  This reminds us of what He said in 2 Chronicles .... write it out below.  As His people, we can turn ourselves around and God will turn Himself around for us as well.  What country do you live in?  Does your country need this lesson today?
