  1. How does John refer to himself as he begins this 2nd letter? vs. 1
  2. How does John describe the recipients of this letter? vs. 1
  3. Who loves the chosen lady and her children other than John? vs. 1 Note: If all love her, then she is someone we are all identified with. Most believe this is a reference to the Bride of Christ and the children of God, meaning the "church".
  4. What is this letter written for? vs. 2
  5. What 3 greetings does John send to the church? vs. 3
  6. How will these things be with us? vs. 3
  7. What had made John, the elder, very glad? vs. 4
  8. What commandment does John ask the lady (church) to walk in? vs.5,6
  9. John said that many 'deceivers' had gone out into the world. (vs.7)...How did he describe the one who is a deceiver and an antichrist? vs. 7
  10. Why do we need to watch ourselves in light of these truths? vs.8
