REVELATION 4     Note: John has just recorded what was to be written to the seven angels of the seven churches in Asia. Most scholars believe that they were not only the literal seven churches at that time, but prophetically pictures of the seven historical church ages. Whatever the case, now the message turns to "after these things"...after the things that concern the church....what next? ... a look at worship in heaven and then the seven seals will be broken to begin the judgments to those on the earth. Many believe the church will be raptured before the judgments begin. Others differ. We are going to look at the Scriptures purely for the facts and let the interpretations lie with each individual. What did John say these are? vs. 5b Do you remember already reading about the 7 Spirits of God? What have we already learned about them? What did John see before the throne? vs.6a What did John see in the center and around the throne? vs. 6b What did these have in the front and back of them? vs. 6b What did the first living creature look like? vs.7a What did the second living creature look like? vs.7a What did the third living creature look like? vs.7b What did the fourth living creature look like? vs.7b How many wings did each creature have? vs. 8a What did the creatures have all over them? What were they full of? vs.8a What did the living creatures say day and night without ceasing? vs.8b What 3 things do the living creatures constantly give to God? vs.9a - Name 3 things How long will God be sitting on His throne? vs. 9b As the living creatures constantly give this praise to God, what are the 24 elders doing? vs.10a What do the elders cast at the throne? vs.10b What do the elders say the Lord is worthy to receive when they cast their crowns? vs. 11a - Name 3 things God created all things...Why do they exist? vs. 11 So why do you exist?
