Revelation Worksheet - Chapter 15

REVELATION 15

Note: This chapter is the introduction to the final judgments to cleanse the world from evildoers so that a kingdom of righteousness can be established on the earth. The judgments themselves are described in chapter 16 in the 7 bowls poured out.
  1. John saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven. What did he see? vs.1a
  2. These are the last of the plagues. What is finished when they are finished? vs. 1b
  3. John saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire. Who was standing on the glass? vs. 2
  4. What were they holding? vs. 2
  5. What were they singing? vs. 3a
  6. What words did they say? vs. 3b
  7. As the praise continues from their mouths, what do they say all nations will do and why? vs. 4

Note: The song is one of victory like the song Moses wrote telling about Israel’s deliverance from Pharaoh’s army at the Red Sea (Pharaoh was a type or foreshadow of the Beast).

God supernaturally delivered Israel and then destroyed Pharaoh and his army in the red sea. This was a foreshadow of the destruction of the Beast and the casting of the Beast alive into the Lake of Fire (a Red Sea).

They also sing a song of eternal redemption through the blood of the Lamb. In their song they proclaim the holiness of God and sing that all nations shall come and worship before Jesus after the final judgments are poured out.
  8. After these things, John looked. What was opened in heaven? vs. 15a
  9. Who came out of the temple? vs.15b
  10. How were they clothed? vs. 15c
  11. What did 1 of the 4 living creatures give to the 7 angels? vs. 7
  12. What were they full of? vs. 7
  13. Why did the temple fill with smoke at that time? vs. 8
  14. When could someone enter the temple again? vs. 8

Note: The seven golden vials full of the wrath of God are given to the seven great angels by one of the four living Beasts that surround the throne of God. The hierarchy in heaven remains consistent. After this is done the temple is filled with smoke from the glory of God and no one is able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues are fulfilled. This is indicating that the judgment is firm and there will be no intercession before God to delay or intercede against these judgments. Since those on earth have rejected God’s mercy (Jesus) the only thing they have left to receive is God's wrath.
  15. Summarize the chapter and post a prayer if you like.

The 7 bowls will be poured forth in tomorrow's reading in Chapter 16 of Revelation ...
