When you think about today's reading, realize that comfort of grace and peace were given to the seven churches; to those who believe in the Son of God. Jesus was in the middle of the seven lampstands which are the seven churches. He is in our midst today. We are told in Matthew that when 2 or 3 are gathered together in His Name, He is here among us!

As believers, we should not fear the things written in the Revelation, but we should do as verse 3 has told us ...

    1) read it
    2) hear it
    3) and heed it

There are messages to the 7 churches and the Spirit will say in each message in chapters 2 and 3, "blessed are they who hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches"....

Note: Let's have ears to hear and a heart to heed the things that Jesus will teach us through the message to the churches. After that, the time of judgment comes upon the unbelievers as we will see the seven seals broken and the plagues of the time of tribulation poured out upon the earth and the unbelievers.

Take time today to thank God that you are a believer and take time to pray for those on your heart who do not yet know Him.

  37. What can you do to share with them and how will you pray for them?
  38. Summarize the chapter and post a prayer if you would like.

Prayer
