    2. When Jesus went to Nazareth where He was brought up, He went to their synagogue as His custom was on the Sabbath day. 3. Jesus knew ahead of time how they would react to His claim of being the fulfillment of Scripture. What did He say about prophets in their own hometowns? What did He share with them that got them so upset they wanted to destroy Him by throwing Him off of a cliff? No prophet is accepted in his own country.
    But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
    But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

    And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

    4. Jesus passed through the crowd and escaped their plan of destruction upon Him. He went down to another city of Galilee, Capernaum. They welcomed His teaching and were amazed by it. What did the demon possessed man say to Him and why did Jesus rebuke the spirits and not allow them to speak any longer? Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God

    Thou art Christ the Son of God. He rebuked them not to speak.

    3. What did Jesus do when daylight came? Why did the multitudes search for Him? What did He tell them? What was His purpose for being sent? He departed and went into a desert place.
    I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

    4. What is your purpose? Do you have a purpose driven life like Jesus did? Why or why not?
