John the Baptist Beheaded

1. When Herod heard the news of Jesus - who did he believe He was? vs. 1-2 -

Five Thousand Fed

When Jesus heard about the death of John the Baptist, He left to go be by Himself ... but the multitudes followed Him.

4. What did Jesus do when He reached shore and saw the multitudes? vs. 14 -

5. When evening came, the disciples told Jesus to send the multitudes away so they could go in the villages and buy food for themselves.  What did Jesus tell them? vs. 16 -

Jesus Walks on the Water

9. Jesus sent the disciples in a boat to the other side and He sent the multitudes away.  What did Jesus need to do as we do?  vs. 23 -

The disciples were out on the boat alone and the wind was blowing the waves hard against them.  Between 3:00 and 6:00 in the morning while it was still dark, Jesus went out to their boat - walking on the water!

10. How did the disciples react when they saw His form? vs. 26 -

11. Jesus told them not to be afraid because it was Him.  Peter wanted proof.  What did he ask Jesus to do for him?  vs. 28 -

Jesus said "Come!" and Peter walked toward Him on the water!  Peter took his eyes off the Lord and saw the waves around him and began to sink from fear.  He cried out and the Lord saved him.

We need a faith that is bigger than the elements that drag us down to defeat.
