4.  The centurion said that he was not worthy to have the Lord come under his roof.  He believed that if Jesus was only say the 'word', his servant would be healed.  Distance did not matter.  This was faith in who Jesus truly was.  He recognized the authority Jesus had over all things.  Why did he understand this so well and what did Jesus say about his faith? vs.8-10 -

12.  What did Jesus do and what was the result? vs. 26

Jesus Casts Out Demons

When Jesus got to the other side of the sea into the country of the Gedarenes, two men who were demon-possessed met Him as they were coming out of the tombs.

13.  How violent were these two men?  vs. 28

14.  What two things did the men cry out when they saw Jesus? vs. 29

It was the demons inside the men that were crying out.  They recognized Jesus right away and knew the authority He had over them and their final fate that had already been announced to them.  They were begging and buying time!  What comfort does this give you concerning demonic spirits in light of your relationship to the Lord of all, the Lord Jesus Christ?

15.  What did the demons beg Jesus to do with them? vs. 30-31

Jesus told them to "Go" and they came out of the men and into the swine.

16.  What happened to the entire herd of swine?  vs. 32

The herdsman ran away to the city to report everything including what had happened to the notorious demoniacs of the graveyard.  The whole city came out to see it and meet with Jesus.

17.  What did they want Jesus to do? vs. 33 - 34

Have you noticed that sometimes people would rather drive Jesus out than deal with the blessings He brings?  Why do you think that is the case here and in circumstances you have known about?
